Program Coordinator, Hospital Engagement Network

Description:Responsible for research, development, coordination, and monitoring of specific projects and activities. Collaborate with Tennessee Hospital Association (TH) HEN staff to accomplish goals within designated time frames. Serve as the liaison with coordinating and overseeing statewide learning and action networks and quality improvement implementation initiatives. Provides support to other functional areas as directed and performs other duties as assigned. This position is located in the Nashville office.

Duties:� Manage the overall assessment, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of specific projects and activities as necessary to fulfill contract/grant deliverables. Work in collaboration with the THA Director and staff to formulate plans to meet contractual deliverables. Ensure that all program activities address designated performance indicators, the appropriate target audience, and are performed within designated time frame. Include such processes as: strategies, interventions, implementation and evaluation plans in accordance with contract deliverables and goals. Provide plans for both individualized onsite and regional interactions.
� Interact frequently with QI Specialists. Provide technical advice/assistance/planning.
� Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Hospital QI specific projects, pertinent organizations, and health care environment. Knowledge should include information regarding: contract, contract deliverables, policies and procedures, resources available, current research, trends, etc.
� Develop and maintain manuals of policies, procedures, objectives and quality assurance for assigned HEN areas.
� Understand and utilize THA project-tracking tools to document and monitor activities pertinent to individual staff, projects and contracts. Ensure adequate controls are in place to assure timely entry, validity of entry and results. Ensure all reporting complies with report templates and/or THA contractual requirements.
� Develop partnerships and serve as liaison with THA and providers. Provide information, project updates and assist in the in the resolution of administrative problems and inquiries and address the possible challenges for commitment from HEN clients.
� Monitor and revise program plan related to interim outcomes within parameters of contractual deliverables as set forth by THA. Identify, present, and discuss progress and issues relating to project and implement solutions to develop program. Analyze provider participation and make adjustments if necessary in provider outreach strategies and marketing techniques.
� Implement periodic outreach/educational presentations to facilitate the health care community�s participation in HEN.
� Generate reports of projects activities, outcomes as assigned or directed.
� Assist in preparation, production, and delivery of educational activities for the healthcare community.
� Communicate needs, requests and changes to other team members as appropriate.

Qualifications:Skills and Abilities:

� Strong customer service background with an ability to communicate effectively across various technical skill levels within the healthcare industry.
� Excellent planning and organizational skills.
� Must be able to work independently and communicate well with team member�s health care providers, governmental agencies, and consumers.
� Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Visio, Project Management software and e-mail.
� Must be able to concentrate and work under timeframe pressures and deadlines.
� Good verbal and written skills required
� Must be able to travel both in and out of state.

Education and Experience:

� Bachelor�s degree in healthcare administration or a healthcare delivery field is required; experience in the hospital quality improvement, development, construction, project review, development and installation of financial and budgetary systems, or other project delivery oriented disciplines.
� CPHQ certificate within one year of assuming position.
